Citizens for Better Schools is dedicated to the advancement of research leading to improved understanding, planning, and operation of PK-12 and post-secondary education institutions.  CFBS provides a nonpartisan forum for the of dissemination of information and the interchange of ideas on problems of common interest in the field of institutional research.  We provide consulting services to public policy makers, parents and community groups seeking to have influence in development of high quality educational programs and equitable services for schoolchildren. In addition, CFBS promotes the continued professional development of individuals engaged in institutional research. We foster unity and cooperation among persons having interests and activities related to education research.

West End High School students are being split apart to three schools in 2008-2009.  Receiving schools will include Parker, Jackson-Olin, and Wenonah High Schools.  Currently, ninety-three percent (93%) of West End students reside within safe walking distance of West End High.  Only one bus served West End in 2007-2008.  Please read the "More Busing. . ." link http://cfbsedu.org/rich_text_5.html  or see our Topic Index (left of this page)
